Dr. Shelley Lowman–Hooks is a Maryland native, although she has resided in Kansas City since 2000. She is a graduate of Hampton University, with a degree in Biology, and a 1999 graduate of Life University, with her Doctorate in Chiropractic. Dr. Hooks is a licensed Chiropractor now serving the Kansas City community.

Dr. Hooks uses a “whole person approach”, this approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and LIFESTYLE adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. Using this unique approach, Dr. Hooks is able to help to accelerate and /or maintain your journey to good health.

Aside from the clinic, Dr. Hooks enjoys spending time with her husband Steve and their three children whom are very active in the Kansas City basketball circuit, and Jack and Jill of America. Dr. Hooks is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority and the Missouri State Chiropractic Association.
